Link stitch journals

All of these journals are made using top quality binders board, decorative cover papers, waxed Irish linen thread, and acid-free adhesive (PVA). They are about 5"x7"x3/4" unless otherwise noted and have 160 pages of acid-free text weight interior paper. Some of them have colorful endpapers (the paper inside the front and back cover). The binding here is non-adhesive, which means that instead of being cut and glued together, the interior pages were folded, hole punched, and sewn directly to the covers and the adjoining signatures. These journals open completely flat without damaging the spine.

Feel free to contact me if you want to commission a book made out of one of the papers seen here. Please email me at claire[at]americanbookarts[dot]com to begin the commission process.

Journals marked with an asterisk (*) use cover paper that is no longer in stock or is no longer carried by my supplier. Sorry! Please check with me if you have a real hankering to commission a journal with out of stock paper. Journals marked with a cross (†) are made using Chiyogami, a.k.a. Yuzen, an exquisite and colorful hand silkscreened Japanese paper.
